Hill Kaka village lacks communication and road connectivity | | | Early Times Report POONCH, Sep 2: The village Hill Kala in tehsil Surankote having a population of about 69 families and 439 souls is lacking both road and communication connectivity in this digital era of the world. Tall claims are being made by the successive Central and State Governments for long for upliftment of the far flung, backward and hilly areas of the country as well as state. There are various Centrally Sponsored Schemes for the development of these areas but on ground there is no development in the areas for which they are meant, the locals said, adding that the hapless, poor and backward people of Hill Kaka village also meet the same fate in the developmental activities. A local Mohd Qasam said the people of hill Kaka feel handicapped in performing their duties for want of these two important facilities. For want of mobile/internet facility student community does not get the benefit of internet, Google and other information, sources in pursuing their studies, preparing themselves for exams, entrance tests or interviews and undergoing higher studies when they have to compete with the aspirants of cities where all such facilities are available. They are thus discriminated and deprived of these basic amenities of life. They despite being residents of most far flung, hilly and backward areas the State Government where all the modern facilities including road/communication connectivity are available. |
