Jammu, Sept 1: Alleging negligence on the part of doctors, the family members of a woman died at SMGS Hospital this morning, held protest outside the hospital. The protesters, who kept the body in hospital premises, raised slogans against the doctors. "We admitted, Babita Devi (26) yesterday here, the doctors conducted tests on her including ultra-sound, and assured us that everything is good, but late in yesterday evening they informed that the child has died so the lady has to undergo for surgery to remove dead baby child", said the protesting family members, adding that in wee hours of this morning they informed us that the mother too has died. "They kept diagnose file of deceased Babita in hospital and forcefully expelled us and kept the body in ambulance", they said, adding that and the ambulance dropped us at cremation ground, where, some ladies noticed the 'dead' baby child was still in her mother's womb. They took the body again at Hospital. "We are demanding justice for the victim family and strict actions against the erring doctors, so that such incident could be prevented in future", they added. |
