| 19 gamblers arrested, stake money recovered | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 2: In its ongoing efforts to weed out social crime from the society, District Police Samba had arrested 10 Gamblers in the jurisdiction of police station Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money of Rs 29,580/- from their possession.
Acting on specific information about gambling, a Police Party of Police station Bari Brahmana headed by SHO Bari Brahmana, Inspr. Rajesh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, Sunil Kesar raided the gambling spot at Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana & arrested 04 gamblers alongwith stake money of Rs. 16,800/- and playing Cards.
In another similar incident, a Police Party of Bari Brahmana arrested 06 more gamblers from Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money of 12,780/- alongwith playing Cards.
Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at Bari Brahmana. |
