| One held for black marketing of LPG cylinders | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 2: District Police Samba has arrested one person from Dhollian, Bari Brahmana for embezzling cooking gas meant for the public and recovered 24 domestic LPG Cylinder (08 filled and 16 empty) & 02 small cylinders from his possession.
The accused person has been identified as Vipin Kumar son of Prem Lal of Phinder at present Dhollian, Bari Brahmana.
Acting on the specific information, a Police Party of Police station Bari Brahmana headed by SHO, Inspr. Rajesh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO Sunil Kesar conducted raid at the residential house/shop of said accused person and found him refilling the gas cylinders. 24 LPG Cylinder (08 filled and 16 empty) and 02 small cylinders alongwith refilling instrument were seized on the spot.
During preliminary investigation, it came to fore that the said accused person used to embezzle cooking gas for making illegitimate profits by selling illegally among the locals.
In this regard a case FIR No. 118/2019 U/S 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started. |
