Samba, September 03: District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, today visited Panchayat Ghar Chajjwal of village Sunjwan, to take first hand review of the development works taken up post ‘Back to Village Programme.’
The DDC, while chairing a review meet, was appraised regarding the works taken up for development of Panchayat during recent visit of Navin Choudhary, Principal Secretary to Govt. Industries and Commerce.
Assistant Commissioner (Development) M.L Tasir informed that development works including Renovation of Pond at Sunjwan at a cost of Rs 15.5 Lakh has been started, while District Administration will provide Additional Cycles, Scooty, Umbrellas, School Bags and T-Shirts Sports Kits to the needy and students.
The other development works at Panchayat Chajjwal included construction of 13 Lanes, 07 deep drains, Black topping of road from Barian to village Sujjwan, construction of Tube well at sujjwan, upgradation of High School to Higher Secondary School and construction of culvert at Chak Ram.
The District development Commissioner, directed PWD to immediately start the construction and maintenance of village Roads including Harminder Road.
During his visit to village Pond, the DDC directed the concerned for desiltting, construction of pathway, Chain link fencing besides demarcation of the complete area of the Pond. The DDC laid emphasis upon construction of toile facility and road to Sub-Centre at Panchayat, besides he stressed upon inclusion of genuine demands projected by the people of the Panchayat in DPRS and submit the same to his office for early redressed.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Samba Vikas Gupta, Chief Medical Officer, Rajinder Samyal, Chief Education Officer, Rampal, District Social Welfare Officer, Deep Kumar, District Panchayat Officer, Piyush Dhotra, XEN PWD, Rajesh Abrol, PHE, PDD besides other district and sectoral officers were present. |
