Jammu, Sept 13: Alexander Memorial Higher Secondary School, Eid-Gah, Residency Road, Jammu hosted 'Hindi Diwas Samaroh' in the school campus.
Dr. Jitender Udhampuri, Former Deputy Director General A.I.R was the 'Chief Guest' and S.K. Jain, Chairman, Indian Yoga Association, & President, Vichar Kranti International was the "Guest of Honour".
Neeru Chopra Hindi Teacher, MHAC, Nagbani and Anju Dullo, Deptt. of Hindi, Vishwa Bharti School were the judges. Two students each from S.D. Tarapuri School, Jodhamal School, New Era Environmental School, Carmel Convent School, Model Academy, Govt. Hari Singh Hr. Sec. School, Alexander Memorial School, J.K. Montessori School, St. Peter's School and Delhi Public School, Jammu, along with their escort teachers participated in the function. One participant from each school read out their papers regarding the origin, development, achievements and importance of Hindi language which is also the official language of India. The other participant recited a Hindi Poem written by Sumitranand Panth Or Mahadevi Verma Or Harivansh Bachan.
