Curfew imposed in Kishtwar following weapon snatching incident | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 13: The Curfew was today imposed in Kishtwar District following the weapon snatching incident at the residence of PDP District President Kishtwar Advocate Sheikh Nasir Hussain who was held hostage by the group of militants. As per the details available with "Early Times", soon after the matter came into the notice of Kishtwar Police, the police along with army and other security agencies seal all the entry and exit point leading to Kishtwar town and launched a massive search operation in the town and its adjoining areas, however the militants manage to give the slip to security forces. Senior police officer while confirming the news said that police has registered an FIR and started its investigation. Meanwhile the sources told the "Early Times" that there are five militants which include the three who enter inside the house of PDP leader while two others were kept waiting outside as a cover up to other three militants. Police is also scrutinizing the CCTV camera footage installed at various points in Kishtwar town to ascertain the route used by the militants to escape after committing the crime. |
