DPS Nagbani organises anti-polythene campaign | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 13: Delhi Public School Nagbani today organized an awareness campaign, with an aim to spread more awareness to reduce the use of plastic. The students and staff of DPS Nagbani today joined hands with the 'Shun plastic' and 'Say no to Polythene Bags' campaign started by PM Narendra Modi. Some practical and handy solutions were also discussed that can help to gradually do away with plastic from our life. The Principal of the school R. K. Verma threw light on the fact that before the advent of poly bags, people, did shop, by things, bring eatables from the market. The raw material for the bag was decided by its usage. Cloth bags for lighter items and jute bags for heavier goods. These bags were washable and reusable lasted for six months. He urged everyone present there to take an oath to gradually get rid of the plastic addiction and start reusable baskets and bags.
