Kashmiri migrant over- aged youth holds meet, list demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 20: A meeting of over-aged Kashmiri migrants youth was held here today in which several demands pertaining to them were highlighted. The meeting was organized by the Kashmiri Migrants overaged youth forum under the chairmanship of social activist Sunil Pandita who deleberated threadbare the burning issues of the youth of migrant community with special references to over-aged youth. Sunil said as a matter of fact nothing was done regarding the settlement of Kashmiri migrant over aged youth who have been facing the brunt of mass migration which took place in 1990 followed by arms insurgency of anti national elements in the valley. A person who was in 20 to 30 years of age at the time of migration in 1990 has presently reached to the age group of 50 to 60 years which means he or she has already attained age of superannuation hence these over aged youth are needed to be rehabilitated on priority as they have responsibility of their family on their shoulders besides arrangement for the sustenance and the survival for their rest of the life be made at the earliest, Sunil maintained. |
