Jammu, Sept 20: Mukesh Singh-IPS, Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Jammu chaired a meeting of officers of Army, CAPF, Police, Intelligence agencies and the Civil Administration to discuss the security arrangements being made on the eve of forthcoming Navratra and Dussehra festivals to review the security grid of Jammu Zone.
While addressing IGP Jammu Zone, took stock of the security measures planned for the forthcoming religious festivals from SSP Jammu and officers of other wings like Police, Army, BSF and other intelligence. He also took briefing from the intelligence agencies regarding security threat in view of present security scenario and development across the IB/LOC.
During meeting threadbare discussions were held on the inputs were given by the officers of intelligence agencies present in the meeting and accordingly, IGP Jammu advised them to maintain utmost alertness and work with close coordination/synergy to foil the nefarious design of Anti National and Anti-social Elements in the district, keeping in view the forthcoming religious festival.
He further briefed the officers present in the meeting that proper briefing be given to the subordinate officers /officials deployed in connection with forthcoming religious festivals. Effective and co-ordinated efforts be made at the gross root level with intra/inter security agencies. If any, lacuna found be filled up immediately for smooth conduct of the function.
He stressed upon all the officers that proper co-ordination be maintained among all the intelligence agencies, Army, PMF, Traffic and Security wing in their respective area for smooth and incident-free conduct of festival throughout the Jammu province. He also advised the officers present in the meeting to lay Joint Nakas/patrolling on all the infiltration routes. Night Patrolling on National Highway be conducted and a close liaison be maintained with all forces deployed in their respective area.

DC, Jammu, DICO IB Jammu, SP Operation, Jammu, Addl. SP Traffic City, Jammu, Rep of 16 Corps/ Rep of 26 Div. and Dy.SP CID CI, Jammu.
