No space for nationalist voices in NSUI: Mir | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 24: Senior leader of National Students Union of India (NSUI) Mehran Anjum Mir has questioned the motives behind his suspension by the NSUI. According to the suspension notice, Mehran has been suspended six months back. Now, Mehran has challenged the high command to show him the official suspension notice and refused to have received any email from the NSUI so far. Mehran said that it is very unfortunate that the party has suspended him for his nationalist and pro-India views and not endorsing any separatist, Pro-Pak narrative. Mehran further questioned when 25 Congress MPs including the stalwart leaders like Dr Karan Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Dipinder Singh Hooda have similar views on Article 370 and 35A, why no action was taken against them? Mehran alleged that only he has been targeted because he does not have any dynastic political background. Also Mehran said that he will register defamation case against the NSUI high command and urged the fellow activists to support him in getting justice. |
