Poster Exhibition organized at JU

Jammu, Sept 24: Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu today organized a Poster Exhibition on Ban on Single use of Plastic to generate maximum awareness among the masses in general and students in particular. This program was organized under Nationwide Awareness Campaign launched by the district Administration on the directions of the Hon'ble Prime Minister.
Dr. Sanjana Koul, inaugurated the Poster Exhibition and declared open the exhibition to the students, scholars and the entire university fraternity. Posters made by the students from various colleges and departments depicting the ill effects of plastic were put on display.
Appreciating the effort put in by the participants, Dr. Sanjana Koul exhorted youth to come forward in a big way in making the campaign a success.
"By adhering to the guidelines on the ban on single use of plastic, we will not only be contributing our little bit in making the climate environmental friendly but bequeath the posterity a rich legacy of keeping our environs safe", said Dr. Koul and lauded the efforts of the Department of Students Welfare .
Prof. Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare hoped that the initiative of banning single use of plastic will go a long way in making our society safe and environmental friendly for our future generations.
Among others present on the occasion included Prof. Yash Pal Sharma, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Anupama Vohra, Co-chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee and members of the Campus Cultural Committee and Departmental Affairs Committee.
