| GCW Bhagwati Nagar organizes Intra College Cricket Match | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 24 : An intra-college cricket match was organized by the GCW Bhagwati Nagar College today. The girls of the college participated wholeheartedly with great enthusiasm. The match was played between Pari XI and Rajkumari XI. Komal Bhat and Ria Kandal were captains of the two teams respectively. The match comprised of 10 overs for each team. Toss was won by Pari XI and elected to field first. Rest of the students enjoyed being spectators and boosted their respective teams. Speaking on the occasion, principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar emphasized on the importance of sports and games in the life of a student and how it leads to holistic development of young minds. Maximum number of runs were scored by Sanjana Chib. Maximum wickets were taken by Shallu. Rajkumari XI won the match. The staff members present on the occasion were Dr. Pavanjeet Bali, Dr. Preeti Salathia and Dr. Ravinder Kumar. |
