Sukhjinder from Amritsar bags 1st position in preliminary round

Katra, Oct 2: On the third day of the preliminary round of the competition 1st Position was clinched by Sukhjinder jit from Amritsar & Rajiv Salotra from Jammu , 2nd position was held by Mohinder Soni from Jammu and 3rd position was shared by Pranbha Sharma from Jammu & Afroj Alam from Bihar, among the 10 auditioned participants in which 05 participants were from outside the state and were provided with the cash prizes of 10,000/- , 5,000/-and 3,000/- respectively.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Celebrity Singer Amarjit Singh Bijli Rashtrapati Awardee, Dr.Usha Bhagati Ex.HOD Music many degree colleges including P.G.M.A.M College Jammu, Dr.Surinder Kumar Sharma HOD Govt. Degree College Sunni Shimla and Dr.C L Verma Ex.Chairman Post Graduate University of Himachal Pradesh.
The proceedings of Competition were conducted by Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition, who while speaking on the occasion said that Mannat Noor the famous bollywood singer and play back singer of song Ni Main Long ni tu lachi and Naveen Punjabi will be the singers among others who will perform in the Final of the competition.
The All India Devotional Song Competition being organized by SMVD Shrine Board and Deptt. of J&K Tourism, J&K Bank, Shraddha Mh One with active support of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Surya Milk, Tiwari Multi Speciality Hospital,Farokhabad,Pure Roots Herbal, , Nidesh Builders Pvt.Ltd. Jammu, Divinity, ,Big 92.7 FM ,Yog Ashram Trust ,District Administration and the local host Community entered in third day evening as a part of Navratra Festival 2019 began today at Yog Ashram Complex in the evening by litting of a traditional lamp by Vice Chancellor SMVD Univeristy Dr. Ravindra Kumar Sinha (Padam Shri ) and Celebrity Singer Amarjit Singh Bijli in presence of Chairman Devotional Song Committee & President Hotel Association Katra Rakesh Wazir, Asstt. Director Tourism Dr.Umesh Shan, Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand ji Maharaj , Former Winner Rajan Gill,Virender Kesar, Prabhat Singh etc.
