DDC Rajouri reviews Centrally sponsored schemes

RAJOURI, Oct 4: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, on Friday chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial progress on various works under centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the district.
Detailed discussion was held on various schemes being implemented under different sectors
While taking stock of MGNREGA and PMAY, Assistant Commissioner Development Sushil Khajuria informed that an expenditure of 66% has been incurred on MGNREGA works. Regarding construction of houses under PMAY, it was given out that against the target of 2805 during the financial year 2019-20,1205 number of PMAY houses have been completed till date.
Regarding power sector, the DDC reviewed the important schemes like DDUGJY, Soubhagya and others.
In connection with NRLM, the concerned officer said that there are 5 works of different nature including poultry keeping, dairy etc in district Rajouri.
DDC directed the concerned officer to promote the work of sewing of jute bags in the district so that these can be used as alternatives to polythene.
Under PMGSY, it was informed that that 11 roads have been completed in Budhal and 13 in Rajouri division so far. Issues of forest clearance and land compensation were also discussed.
Regarding construction of buildings under SSA, the concerned officer told that out of 730 buildings, 73 stand completed and work on rest is in different phases of execution.
The DDC also took an extensive review of physical and financial achievements under SBM, NRDWP, watershed management programme, NHM, ICDS, Mid day meal scheme, Pradhan mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and other centrally sponsored schemes.
