Two day Projectethon organized at MIET | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 4: Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is an International technical organization, established to develop technological advancements, in the field of Electrical and Electronics and promote their awareness in the society. It was established about 100 years ago and its foundation day is celebrated all over the world during 1st week of October. Model Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) is celebrating this day by organizing a two-day event "Projectethon" and lectures by eminent personalities in this field. IEEE Student Chapter at MIET, in collaboration with ISTE Student Chapter, under the patronage of Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has organised this event. 18 teams, involving 65 students from ECE and EE departments are participating in the Projectethon. Each team of students from 3rd, 5th and 7th semesters oof various engineering disciplines has selected a research project in which they are designing, assembling and testing their project to see its efficacy. These projects pertain to live problems faced by the society and finding solution for them. Some of the projects like smart traffic systems, economical personal health monitoring kit, automation of class rooms and automation of water management in multi-storeyed buildings are some of the key projects. |
