| DPS Nagbani celebrates World Animal Day | | |

Jammu, Oct 4: To promote awareness of and understanding about the need to protect, manage and enhance nature, DPS Nagbani celebrated World Animal Day in the school. The children from Pre-Nursery dressed up as different animals and participated in fancy dress competition. A discussion was also held to engage the students' attention and create awareness on various issues like cruelty towards animals, animal rights violations etc. They were also told that the formulation of this day was to highlight the plight of the endangered species. Aiming to motivate and educate the younger generation about animals, the students were shown a short documentary film. To mark the celebration of World Animal Day a lecture was also organized for the students were they were enriched about the relationship between humans and animals was described. We should not forget that animals play an important role in our lives. They not only provide support but also make us better human beings. So we should come forward to serve them and be a part of something special. |
