Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 24: In alleged mischief made to adjust a blue-eyed, the University of Jammu has reportedly tailored the recruitment rules to adjust a blue-eyed who is backed by a former Minister.
The documents are in possession of Early Times, states that the administration of the University had advertised various posts including 'Campus Development Officer' as vide no Adm/C7R/14/111-1160 dated 06-06-2014 with 'desirable' minimum of 5 year experience of dealing with the offsite campus.
After two years, the University of Jammu had approved the selection criterion and syllabus for the various posts (vide no Estab./NTW/C&R/16/656 dated 22-6-16). The Screening/ written tests were supposed to be held March 5, 6, 8 and 26, 2017 but the scheduled of the same posts were rescheduled and fixed date of the above said posts was 9-7-2017 (vide no Estab./NTW/C&R/17/1983 dated 19-05-2017. A notice was published in a daily on July 7, 2017, and informed that the screening/ written test for the post of Campus Development Officer was scheduled to be held on 9-7-2017, stand postponed till further notice.
Once again, the management of the University had advertised recruitment relegated notice vide no Estab./NTW/C&R/19/292 dated 2-9-2019 and invited candidates to apply for the post of Campus Development Officer and this time, the recruitment notice was modified by changing eligibility criteria and replaced the desirable word to 'with' minimum 5-year experience of dealing with offsite campuses.
A notice was issued by administration on 22-10-2019 and in which the written test was canceled and shortlisted candidates for the interview which has been fixed to be held on 28-10-2019 in the cambers of Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu.
Highly placed sources that the schedule for the interview was being postponed repeatedly and cancelation of written tests by the recommendation of the some officials of the University just because to adjust the blue-eyed who is relative of a former Minister and veteran politician.
