| SMSCE organises activities 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 24: To commemorate the 150 Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the NSS unit of Sant Mela Singh College of Education (SMSCE) Digiana, Jammu organized a week long activities in the college starting from 16th October,2019 onwards.
On the first day i.e on 16th October,2019, cleanliness drive was held in the college campus. The sole purpose of this drive was to inculcate in our students the quality of keeping their environment neat and clean. On 18 October,2019, a rally was organized on "Save Water" campaign in order to make general public aware of the importance of conserving water.
On 19th October,2019, a Symposium on the topic "Relevance of Gandhi ji's Philosophy in Modern Times" was held. Simranjeet kaur of third semester stood first and Tegdhar Kour and Kirti Verma of First Semester stood second and third position was shared by Gagandeep Kour of first semester and Shivani Chib of third semester. |
