| Kud Police seizes 9 quintal poppy straw, 2 arrested | | |

Jammu, Oct 24: In a major development in anti drug drive of state police, Kud Police today seized nine quintal poppy straw, appently part of interstate drug consignment.
According to sources Kud Police on basis of specific inputs foiled smuggling of poppy straw in a huge quantity. "Kud Police stopped a Tanker no. PB06L.0575 and recovered the banned drug", sources said adding that two persons have been arrested.
The arrested persons have been identified as Surinder Pal and Inderjeet both resident of Hoshirpur, Punjab. A case under relevant sections has been registered at Kud Police Station and further investigation has begun. |
