Jugal demands adequate compensation for family of slain truck driver | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 29: Senior Congress leader and former Minister Jugal Kishore Sharma has demanded adequate compensation for the family of truck driver Narayan Dutt, who was shot dead by militants in a South Kashmir village. In a statement issued here today, Jugal Kishore said that Narayan Dutt was the only support to his four minor children, who have also lost their mother a few years ago adding that with the untimely death of Dutt it would be an uphill task for his orphaned children to make both ends meet. Sharma appealed to the government to provide adequate compensation to the family and also ensure a job to his eldest son so that the family could earn their livelihood. It is in place to mention here that the truck driver Dutt, a native of Kakriyal village near Katra in district Reasi, was shot dead by militants in South Kashmir's Kanilwan village on Monday evening in the fourth such incident in the past two weeks. |
