Jammu, Oct 30: Employees of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Provident Fund Organisation (JKEPFO) on Saturday observed token strike in support of their long pending demands at Rail Head Complex Jammu.
According to press release, they were protesting for holding of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), filling-up of vacant posts of different cadres which are lying vacant since long times and re-fixation of pay grades to junior assistants, driver and confirmation of posts of In-charge Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner, Inspectors, Head Assistants, Senior Assistants, Junior Assistants, etc.
The union members appealed to the authorities concerned to consider their demands by November 7 this year, otherwise the union shall go for indefinite strike, the onus of which will lie on the shoulders of concerned authorities. |
