As European delegation visits Kashmir six civilians killed by militants
10/30/2019 9:27:37 PM
Those treat Kashmir situation as normal are mistaken. Even the non-local labourers who harvest paddy have not been spared by militants. Each day passes with an incident of two of violence. Hours after European Union delegation landed in Kashmir n Tuesday, suspected militants struck in south Kashmir, killing six non-local labourers. The police said that militants barged into a house at Katrusu Kulgam, 6 km from Anantnag, where a group of non-locals had rented a room, and opened indiscriminate fire at the inmates. Local people informed the police about the incident.
What is important is that all these six people gunned downed by the militants were Muslims. The six killed were identified as Qamardin Sheikh, Mohammad Rafiq, Mursaleen Sheikh, Rafiq Sheikh, Nizam-ud-din Sheikh and Zahoor-ud-din, all residents of Sagardighi in West Bengal's Murshidabad. Soon after the incident a joint team of security forces launched a search operations but so far there has been no arrests. And invariably Pakistan violates ceasefire on the LoC and the purpose these violations are to push groups of militants into Jammu and Kashmir to raise the level of violence. In between grenades are hurled at the security pickets and six soldiers were injured in the incident. And still Pakistan either wants bilateral talks or invites any third country for mediation on the Kashmir issue. Well Donald Trump the US President, has stated that since the Kashmir issue is bilateral there is no reason for any country to mediate.
Hardly a day passes when militants do not get engaged in encounters with the security forces and this is the cause for derailment of peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Right from Keran to Rajouri in Jammu, Pak troops do resort to violation of ceasefire in all the sectors and the basic purpose is to highlight the Kashmir issue and to push groups of militants in to the State for escalating the level of violence. Once Incidents of violence do occur in Jammu and Kashmir Pakistan gets a chance to raise the Kashmir issue. And for gaining sympathy from some super powers killing of civilians is a must for inviting international fora"s criticism.
