Early Times Report SAMBA, Oct 31: District Development Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria, KAS today chaired a meeting of District Consultative Committee (DCC)/ District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Level RSETI Advisory Committee (DLRAC) convened Lead District Manager Samba for the quarter ended June 2019 to review the performance of Banks and RSETI in respect of achievements under Annual Credit Plan 2019-20 besides taking stock of position of Deposits, Advances and CD Ratio. During the meeting, Ajay Koul LDM, gave a detailed presentation regarding performance of the banks in district samba. DDC stressed on the need of holding Financial Literacy camps in collaboration with Banks and government departments under intimation to him on regular basis and these camps may also be utilized by the banks for creating awareness among the people about the Financial literacy, PMEGP, Housing for all, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna, 100% coverage under KCCs, Prime Minister's New social security Schemes, Pardhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Education Loan etc. DDC instructed the officials to draft an inclusive strategy for the same. On CD ratio the District Development Commissioner emphasized upon to increase the CD ratio to the desired level of 60% from 50%. so that more credit flows to the people. The meeting had also a detailed review of all the government sponsored schemes with special focus on PMEGP, NULM, Handicrafts, and Handlooms and appreciated the achievements made in priority sector advances which is 45% as on 30.06.2019 against the national target of 40%. Agriculture Advances to the Priority sector advances is 18%.The House was delighted to know that Credit flow to women beneficiaries was 350 crores out of 2292 crores in the district which is 16 % of the total advances of the district against the benchmark of 5% which is considered good. Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts made by the stakeholders and stressed to empower more women in the district. DDC called the explanations/ reasons of those banks which have not achieved the targets of Annual Credit Plan 2019-20 for the first quarter. Further the Chairman instructed all the banks to achieve the ACP targets of 2019-20 on quarterly basis. DDC Samba advised to the concerned departments for interactive sessions with Director RSETI Samba regarding provision of training programmes/Awareness camps for different areas which can generate employment, increase credit intake, and also train the beneficiaries/employees including rural youth and women. Since vigilance awareness week is going on from 28th October to 2nd November 2019, a pledge was administered to all the participants by the DDC Samba. During the meeting Additional district development commissioner Rachana Sharma, CPO sukhleen kour, Assistant director Handloom Sonam Verma, LDO RBI, Director SBI RSETI Samba, DDM NABARD, Representative from J&K Bank Cluster office, Samba District Coordinators of PNB, RM JKGB, BR Head EDB, and representatives from all other Banks and officers from various government departments. |
