Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 31: A senior Peoples Democratic Party leader, who recently called on the European Parliamentary delegation in the national capital, is understood have to done it without the approval from the party.
Sources said the party leadership is shocked at the behavior of their senior colleague and apprehend that he has joined hands with "enemies of Kashmir politics."
Sources said the leader from north Kashmir had secretly rushed to New Delhi to meet the visiting delegates and that he had not taken the party leadership into confidence nor had sought any approval from his party colleagues.
"The phones were working this time and he could have called us but he didn't utter a word and secretly rushed to meet them," complained a PDP leader on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said the party is shocked at his "irresponsible behavior."
He said the party has decided to discuss the matter with the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti who is presently under detention at a Guest House in CheshmaShahi area of Srinagar.
"He shouldn't have me the delegates of his own. If the delegates had to meet anyone from our party it was supposed to be her( Mehbooba) and that they could do by meeting her in detention," said a source in the party.
"Such an irresponsible behavior is like duping us again," the sources in the PDP, said.
A few months ago, the same leader was planning to join the Peoples Conference led by Sajad Lone as the two had been allegedly in touch with each other. But at the eleventh hour, the politician reportedly changed his mind and decided to stay back in the party where he was seen as among the founding members.
That time Mehbooba Mufti was believed to have persuaded him to change his plans.
Despite repeated attempts the said politician was not available for comments.
