Rajni Bala starts development work; calls for retention of statehood to J&K
10/31/2019 9:25:07 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 31: Rajni Bala Chib, Corporator Ward No 60, on Thursday started lane-development work in presence of party workers and prominent persons of the area at Mohalla Gujjar Paloura, here.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajni Bala assured the people of the area that all the works related to development will be taken up at the earliest. She directed the concerned authorities to use quality material besides completing the work within stipulated time frame.
Raising serious concern over abolition of J&K State, she urged upon all political parties to come under one umbrella for retention of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. She said the history stands testimony to the great role played by Jammu for retaining pristine glory of the state of Jammu and Kashmir during most testing times, especially in early nineties by embracing the people in distress from the Kashmir Valley and parts of the Doda region, irrespective of religion. "It is because of these sacrifices and selfless contribution of Dogras, J&K has all along shined as jewel in the crown of India," she stated.
Rajni Bala said that the people of Jammu have shown their resentment to downgrading of Statehood in the recently held elections to Block Development Councils. She added that the victory of 277 Independent candidates out of 310 seat shows that the people have disliked the policies of BJP which has downgraded the J&K State.
Rajni Bala appealed to leaders of all mainstream political parties of J&K, to rise to the occasion and make a strong pitch for retention of the Statehood.
On the occasion, she also met with a large number of people and was apprised of their demands and grievances.
Responding to demands and problems of the people, she assured them that all their issues would be addressed in a phased manner. She sought cooperation of the people in implementing the development programmes on ground level.
Among others who were present included Shahbaj Ahmad, Dilshad Bhat, Parveen Akhtar, Nazir Ahmad, Shamima, Tarun Vaid, Virender Mehta, Nikka Mehta and Gokal.
