Poonch, Nov 5: G.A.Ganai Memorial Society Poonch organised cricket championship 2019, in the loving memory of Late Ghuiam Ahmed Ganai Ex.Minister at Jaias Ground Poonch, which concluded here today. The main objective of the holding the championship was to channelize the youth as key to the progress and Nation building.
Thirty two teams from various Panchayats from Haveii, Mandi, Surankote, Mendhar Tehsils and even teams from District Rajouri participated in forty day long Cricket Championship.
Final match was played between Star Viper and Roufi cricket ciub and out of the thrilling fight stair viper won the Cricket Championship. Dy Commissioner Poonch was the Chief Guest and SSP Poonch presided over the function whiie Commanding Officer 39 RR was the guest of honour.
Biock Deveiopment Chairman Mandi and Poonch besides Secretary Bar Association Poonch were among many prominent citizen's present on the occasion.
Taj Mir, Moivi fareed, Sh Aurangzeb Rathor, Adv. Jahnagir, Sarpanchs and panches from different Panchayats were present on the occasion. |
