Deputation of POJK refugees call on Former Minister | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 5: Seeking immediate release of funds relating to ex gratia relief for POJK refugees under Prime Minister's package, a deputation hailing from various parts Jammu met Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA). The members of the deputation apprised the BJP leader of their problems that out of around 26000 families registered for ex gratia relief, the amount for 5300 families were not sanctioned for which Former Minister called upon Advisor K.Skandan and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma regarding the issue and those families who were not registered/did not get the ex gratia relief were sent to Delhi and a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah was fixed where the families urged the Home Minister to immediately sanction the amount for remaining 5300 families. During their meeting with the Home Minister, Amit Shah assured that Centre will look into the matter and the funds for the same shall be allocated to the State Government. Home Minister also stated that the funds will be released soon by the State Government as well so that the money could reach to the beneficiaries as soon as possible. After their satisfactory meeting with the Union Home Minister, the deputation comprising of Dr Krishan Dev Gupta, Jagmohan Gupta, Ashok Gupta, Subash Jandiyal and Parvesh Sharma called on the Former Cabinet Minister and Divisional Commissioner in Jammu and expressed their gratitude for looking into the grievances of POJK refugees. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma appreciated the pro active approach of Union Home Minister and stated that Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah is committed for overall welfare of masses and only believes in agenda of "Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas". Sharma also appreciated the efforts of Advisor K.Skandan and Divisional Commissioner Jammu for taking up the matter with the highest authorities in order to avoid public distress. |
