Jammu, Nov 5: The Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu organized 'Sauhaard-2019' a new event for the Research Scholars of JU. Scholars from different teaching departments of the University participated and exhibited their creativity through 'Poster Making' and 'Collage Making' on the topic 'Harmony'. Prof Rajni Dhingra, Dean Research Studies was the Chief Guest at the valedictory function, she complemented Prof. Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare for organizing such a unique event for the Research Scholars which aims to channelize their energies in a creative manner. Prof. Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare congratulated the participating scholars who came forward to showcase their creative endeavor besides their routine research work. He thanked Dr. Sanjana Koul who came forward with the idea to organize such event. Dr. Sanjana Koul and Dr. Sanjay Sharma were the adjudicators. The First position was awarded to Shiromani Gupta from The Business School, The second and third positions were secured by Pankhuri Aggarwal from Department of English and Namarta Karlupia from Department of Computer Science & IT. Scholars who participated in the event included Mohit Kumar, Satakshi Gupta, Rythem Anand, Neha Kumari Pandey, Adnan Javed Kichloo, Rajat Kumar, Haneet Kour, Palak Mahajan, Rhea Mahajan. Prof. Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee, Dr. B.K. Bajaj, Associate Dean SW, Dr. Anil Gupta, Assistant Dean SW, Dr. Garima Gupta, Assistant Dean SW, Mansi Mantoo, Media Officer SW, members of Campus Cultural Committee, students and scholars were also present at the occasion. The event was conducted by Sumeet Sharma and was coordinated by Ifra Kak. |
