GDC Bishnah organises Inter Collegiate Quiz competition

Jammu, Nov 5: Government Degree College Bishnah in continuation with series of activities conducted as part of celebration of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji organized today an inter-collegiate Quiz competition on the topic ""Life and Preachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji.
Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal of the college was the chief guest whereas Amrit Kour, Principal GHSS for Boys Bishnah and Ravinder Kour were special guests of the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the College Dr. Kulvinder Kour elucidated that the teachings and preachings of Guru Nanak Devji and exhorted the students to follow the path of truth, equality and righteousness. The special guest, Amrit Kour spoke about the importance of "Sangat" and urged them to maintain a balance between spirituality and materialism.
The programme started with the welcome address by Prof. Mohammad Qayoom, Prof. Risha Kumari was the quiz master.
There were 5 teams comprising of 2 students each from 5 different colleges. The first prize was won by GDC Ramgarh, the second prize by GDC Bishnah and third prize by GCW Kathua respectively.
Prominent among others present in the function were Prof. Nazia Chaudhary from GDC R.S.Pura, Prof. Naresh Kumar from GCW Kathua and Prof. Mohammad Rafi from GDC Ramgarh, Prof Archana Bakshi, Dr. Alka Sharma ,Dr Seema Sudan, Dr Seema Jamwal, Prof Anuradha, Prof Amit Kumar, Prof Mohd. Qayoom, Prof Sushma Kumari, Prof. Priyanka Mahajan, Prof. Nasar Ahmed, Prof Sumit Gupta, Prof Deepika Mehra, Prof Shallu Rani.
