Early Times Report Reasi, Nov 5: Reasi Campus, University of Jammu organized a guest lecture on Expanding the Empire: Role of Zorawar Singh for the students of the MDP Sociology on 5th of November, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Conference Hall, Reasi Campus, Reasi. The objective of the programme was to enlighten the students about the historical perspective of the contribution of Gen. Zorawar Singh in J&K. Prof. Suman Jamwal, former Head, Department of History and former Director, Centre for Women Studies, University of Jammu was the resource person on the occasion. Prof. Pawanesh Abrol, Director, Reasi Campus while formally welcoming the resource person of the programme highlighted the achievements and different academic activities organized in the Campus. Prof. Abrol in his address emphasized that the young generation should be aware of their valuable history, culture and traditions as it plays important role in the development of society and nation. Sugam Bral, Founder Chairman, Jammu Diary was also present in the programme and he presented six portraits of Gen. Zorawar Singh to the Reasi Campus, University of Jammu free of cost. While addressing the audience he said that Jammu Diary is working for the visibility of regional identity and encouragement of artistic skill, culture and history of Jammu region. |
