JAMMU, Nov 5: In a much publicized kidnapping case of Dr Rubiya Syed and killing of Air Force personnel, Presiding Officer Subash C Gupta TADA Court today adjourned the case as Showkat Bakshi was not produced.
Today when the matter came-up for appearing, Yasin Malik is produced by the jail authority, Tihar Jail, New Delhi through video conference. Other accused present, Mushtaq Ahmed is not present. Court issued Non-bailable arrest warrants are ordered to be issued for his arrest. Simultaneously, his surety is directed to produce him on next date of hearing, positively, failing which appropriate proceedings under law will be initiated against him forfeiting of his bail bond.
Court further observed that a Copy of the communication is received from the Sr superintendent Jail Ambedkar Nagar, UP with a request to superintendent of police ACB, Jammu that accused - Showkat Ahmed Bakshi is not being produced for want of video conference facility and security arrangement for transportation is filed by the PPs of CBI. It appears to be further request of the Jail superintendent to the CBI for making arrangement for proper security staff for transportation and production of the afore named accused before this court. Accordingly, CBI is directed to make necessary arrangement for production of the accused-Showkat Ahmed Bakshi through video conference or otherwise as requested by the jail superintendent of the concerned jail. Accused present are directed to produce their respective counsel on next date of hearing, positively. Adjourned for arguments as to charge/ discharge Be it noted that jail authority is directed in the course of video conference for production of the accused -Yasin Malik again before this court through video conference on next date of hearing. Copies of this order be handed over to CBI,Jammu & Superintendent Jail Ambedkar Nagar, UP for information/ compliance.
