| Dir review Horticulture scenario in Anantnag | | Visits departmental nurseries, orchards | | Early Times Report
ANANTNAG, Nov 5: Director Horticulture Kashmir Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, today visited departmental orchard cum nursery at Panzmulla Anantnag.
He was accompanied by Chief Horticulture officer Anantnag, District Horticulture officer Anantnag and other field officers.
He was briefed about the various developmental activities being undertaken in the said nursery. He instructed the Chief Horticulture officer regarding uprooting the old and senile plants in the nursery and auction of such plants.
He also instructed the concern to come up with a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for development of such nursery for production of quality plant material. Later, the Director visited Horticulture Zone Dachinipora and instructed the field officers to organize awareness camps in their jurisdiction for providing technical knowhow to fruit growers.
The Director also visited Block Level offices and directed the official to remain punctual and maintain a close liaison with growers and orchardists, so that they get the benefits of the schemes being implementation in the district. The Director also took a review at Chief Horticulture Office Anantnag and discussed component-wise Action Plan 2019-20 of all developmental schemes. He stressed upon the officers for achieving the targets within stipulated time farm. |
