Instead of blaming Pakistan Kashmir centric politicians blame Modi
11/5/2019 10:56:34 PM

Without blaming Pakistan for escalatating incidents of violence the Kashmir cventric political leaders including Hakeem Yasin of the PDF has urged the Centre to respect urges and aspirations of the J&K, Chairman PDF said that that the state (UT) of Jammu & Kashmir was an independent country upto 1947 which acceded to India on certain conditions including Article 370 and Article 35-A. He asked the centre not to betray the people of the state (now UT) for petty political interests. If Jammu and Kashmir state has acceded to India it is the will of the Government of India to ensure the safety of its interests. Since Article 370 and Article 35-A were alive people would talk of cessation and not full integration with India. And Pakistan took advantage of the special status granted under Article 370 and demanded the merger of Kashmir with Pakistan. .
The PDF spokesperson said speaking to a gathering of his party workers, Hakeem Yaseen said that the people of the state (now UT) have acceded to India with some expectations which should be fulfilled to win their hearts and minds. Was it is the right of India to resolve the problem of unemployment? was it the job of the industrial units to set up their units in Jammu and Kashmir ? No now under revocation of Artilcle 35 -A industrialists were enabled to have a piece of land. On which they could set up their units and ensure jobs for the local people.
He said previous regimes in the state (now UT) with the blind support of the respective central governments have been repeatedly betraying trust and faith of the people for satiating their petty gains. He said repeated betrayals with the trust of common masses have resulted in their deep alienation from the mainstream. He said need of the hour was to address the main cause of people's alienation and to punish those political parties who have ditched the people on false promises. Now that the Upper Houses have been abolished it means that there is no scope for restoration of Article 370 and 35-A. And it is for the people of Kashmir to shut their mouth and see the benefits of abrogation of special status and separate state subject laws. Let people have faith in Modi so that problems of people could end.
