Annual urs of Hazrat Asrar Sahib celebrated with religious fervour | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 10: Like every year annual urs of 17th century Sufi Saint Hazrat Shah Mohammad Asrar-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA) commonly known as Asrar Sahib was celebrated with religious favour at Kishtwar. Several people from different parts of state arrived in Kishtwar and participated in day long prayers which continued whole night. The number of pilgrims this year is less as compared to previous year due to uncertainty and night curfew in Kishtwar town following Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya. On Sunday night, special prayers were also held inside the shrine of Asrar Sahib while the annual urs will be declared as close tomorrow morning. Police under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Dr Harmeet Singh Mehta had made elaborated security arrangements to deal with any law and order problem, beside to keep an eye on anti- national and criminal elements. Police personal in civil dresses were also deployed in large numbers in and around both shrines. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana also visited the shrine and supervised the security and other arrangements meant for the visiting pilgrims. The Sajda Nasheen of the shrine made food arrangements for the visiting pilgrims beside this Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar arranged langar at few places for the pilgrims. |
