| Inter-school basket ball competition organized | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: On the occasion of Silver jubilee, Carmel Convent Higher Secondary School, took initiative to organise the very first of its kind - An Interschool Basket Ball competition. The school invited various prestigious institutions of the city namely, Jodhamal Public School, Banyan International, GD Goenka, St.Marys Convent. The school gave a heart warming welcome to the companion guests. The match started at 9:00 am with the registration. With a well planned strategy teams were running sophisticated defences, setting up multiple offensive plays. Coaches were constantly studying the game. The game included 4 quarters, each of 10 minutes with a 2 minute break .The semi-final matches were played between Banyan International and Carmel while the other between Jodhamal and GD Goenka. Carmel and Jodhamal were the finalists respectively. The match between these two was a neck to neck competition and Jodhamal won it by just a single point. School Principal Sr. Swati AC distributed the prizes to the winners and presented her vote of thanks to everyone for their support and kindness. |
