Poonch, Dec 18: Poonch Police today distributed around 200 helmets among the commuters especially young bikers.
It was noticed over a period of time that the bike riders in these areas do not wear crash helmets as a safety measure. In order to make them aware of the importance of wearing helmets, an awareness program was initiated by Poonch Police.
SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral and DC Poonch Rahul Yadav along with Additional SP Poonch Raja Adil Hamid and, DySP (Dar) Sheezan Bhat, DySP PC Bhishm Dubey, SHO Poonch Inspector Nishant Gupta distributed the helmets among the youth at Eidgah Chowk Poonch.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Poonch appealed the youth of the area in particular and the public in general to obey the traffic rules in letter and spirit and make it a part of their routine life. |
