| NHM employees stage protest demonstration | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 20: A district level meeting cum protest demonstration was held at Hospital, Kathua district by All JK NHM Employees Association under the chairmanship of Rohti Seth President All JK NHM Employees Association (AJKNHMEA). The programme was attended by a large number of different categories of NHM Employees drawn from all over the district. The meeting cum protest demonstration was addressed by Dr. Raman Sharma Advisor AJKNHMEA Dist. Kathua, Dheeraj Sharma dist President Kathua, Sharma NHM worker, Lalit Kumar Sharma Block President AJKNHMEA and others beside Rohit Seth. All the speakers expressed deep anguish over the apathetic attitude of the govt towards NHM Employees and for non redressal of their problems and fulfilment of their demands. They highlighted the following demands.
Regularization of all categories of NHM employees with wage grade similar to their counter parts in the health departments. Enhancement of salary between the NHM staff of UT of Jammu & Kashmir to make it as par with NHM Staff of Delhi, Haryana.
Grant of leave benefits as per agreement arrived at and on the analogy of the states of Orissa and Tripura and release of salary of the NHM Staff for the agitation/termination period as agreed upon during negotiations, and assured by the honourable Governor Jammu & Kashmir State Satya Pal Malik at the earliest. |
