| DDC reviews JJM road map in Samba | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Dec 20: District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting of district and sectoral officers of PHE department to review the strategy of implementation of the JAL JEEVANMission in Samba district.
Chief Planning Officer Sukhleen Kour, District Panchayat Officer Piyush Dhotra, Executive Engineer PHE Surinder Kumar besides other officials of the concerned department were present during the meeting.
DDC was appraised regarding present station of piped water connections in the district along with water requirement and total availability. XEN PHE informed that against total availability of 4.176 MGD, water requirement of district samba is 6.305 MGD and total shortfall 2.129 MGD. He said that total number of households in samba district having piped water connection is 39231 and number of households proposed to be connected under JJM (retrofitting/ new schemes) is 14,434.
DDC directed to prepare DPRs of existing and new schemes and commissioning of already drilled sources. He directed the concerned officers to prepare the road map of the scheme at the earliest so that the project can be completed well before time. |
