| Court sentences 10 years imprisonment to rape accused | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 20: District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar on Friday sentenced a rape accused to 10 years imprisonment along with fine of Rs 20,000 and one year imprisonment and fine of Rs 1000 in Section 417 RPC.
Reports revealed that the victim produced a written application at Police Station Kishtwar duly endorsed by the CJM Kishtwar, in the month of August 2016 and case was registered at Kishtwar Police Station. During the course of investigation, the accused identified as Paramjeet Singh alias Sankal of Chandali Sarthal Tehsil and District Kishtwar was arrested and after completion of all the required formalities, the offences were proved against the accused. The Challan of the case was produced before the Court of Law for judicial determination.
The trail of the case lasted for about two and half years and the District & Sessions Judge announcing the judgment on Friday. |
