14th JK Science Congress Commenced at JU | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 20: Emphasizing strong and close collaboration in terms of sharing their resources in terms of technologies and human resources between various universities and research institutions, exhorted Prof Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir. He said the Science congress is a great platform for our researchers and scientists to hold deliberations and said that the measures and findings of the congress will provide solution to various problems which are common all over the world. Prof Talat called upon the scientists and researchers to focus on the usage of Bio resources available in JK and Ladakh UT's. He also highlighted about the importance of Geo resources, in which Himalayan glaciers should be carefully preserved for longer periods. Also, he mentioned the importance of Artificial Intelligence, disaster management and energy resources of Himalayas which help to reach education and medical education to the remote areas of society. He also encourages the sciences and social sciences should come together for effective application of scientific knowledge and technological innovations to address the challenges being faced by the State and the country. Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu in his presidential address said that University is holding this science congress for the 7th time and there will be special session on Vice Chancellors session, four Vice Chancellors have agreed to talk about their own research which motivates the other faculty members. |
