Cong always ignored OBCs, says AIBCU | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 20: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) Social today said that Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad while giving an interview to a web portal talked about many things like destruction of economy, tourism and loss of jobs in J&K but he didn't utter a word on the constitutional rights of the state people in general and OBCs in particular. In a meeting of AIBCU Social convened here today under the chairmanship of its general secretary Prof Kalidass, the executive members including M R Bangotra shared their views and said that Congress never bothered about OBCs and always ignored them. Ghulam Nabi Azad, who also ruled the J&K state as chief minster did not solve the problems of the state OBCs called OSCs but always looted their rights on the name of Area Reservations one way or the other. The members said that no statement of Azad over the constitutional rights of the OBCs in JKUT whose population is about 60% of the population, particularly in a state in which about 70% is the Muslim population out of which more than 50% are OBC Muslims shows party's apathy towards OBCs. They said that Congress leaders at the centre and the state are worthless as they never meet the public. State OBCs tried their level best to meet the state - centre leaders but all were so proud that they never gave OBC deputation time to meet. |
