KATHUA, DECEMBER 21: Team of Motor Vehicles Department, Kathua under the supervision of Regional Transport Officer Dr. Raj K. Thapa seized seven vehicles and imposed Rs. 13.24 Lakh on spot fine/ challan on 138 other vehicles in an endeavor to check menace of traffic violation.
In addition to challaning/ compounding, the drivers were sensitized towards importance of safe driving including seat belt, helmet, fitness of vehicles, hazards of using mobile phone while driving, importance of maintaining of speed limits and various other traffic laws. Later in the evening, the team also laid naka on highway to check night service vehicles violating traffic norms.
The checking squads comprised of ARTO, MVIs Vikas Srivats, Kamal Kumar and Ravinder Sharma, MVTA & officials Rasal Singh, Shamsher Singh, Pawan Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Lekhraj Singh, Vijay Kumar and Feroz Shah. |
