| RTA Kishtwar approves 84 LA cases | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 21: Regional Transport Authority Kishtwar today approved 84 'letter of authority' (LA) cases at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana. The meeting was attended by SSP Kishtwar Dr. Harmeet Singh Mehta, ARTO Kishtwar, Er. Kuldeep Singh, DSP DAR, Iftikhar Ahmed and other senior officers of the concerned department.
After detailed deliberations, the panel approved 84 applications of unemployed youths keeping in view the need of providing more transport facilities to the masses and to curb the overloading in transport.
Earlier, the ARTO presented the cases before the committee seeking issuance of LA in favour of the applicants.
Deputy Commissioner advised ARTO and traffic authorities to remain pro-active in resolving the traffic related issues.
He further asked the twin departments to keep close vigil on traffic rule violators and take stringent action against the defaulters as envisaged under Motor Vehicle Act. |
