| 'Influential' leaders encroach upon Public Water Hand Pumps in Rajouri | | Electric Motors affixed for personal use | |  Rajesh Tandon

Jammu, Dec 21: Some influential and politically backed people have encroached upon the public water hand pumps for their personal use in Dhanore Jarallan area of district Rajouri and concerned department has turned deaf ears to this violation.
Sources told Early Times that the mostly this violation has been witnessed in Dhanore Jarallan area, where majority of Public Water Hand Pumps have been captured by the people who have taken connection by installing pipes and eclectic motors and diverted them to their houses, particularly who have some political background due to which no one try to question on this gross misuse of public property for personal use.
The concerned Ground Water Department has been witnessing this illegal encroachment by the people due to which the common people living in the area have been deprived this facility. These Water Hand Pumps have been installed from Constituency Development Fund (CDF) of MLA and MP for the general public use but now these hand pumps have been personal property by some influential people. |
