Dump deadwood, bring in fresh faces: Munish to people | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 21: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Saturday asked people of Jammu to come together in order to bring in fresh faces to unleash a new era of development and progress. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Gangyal, Munish said, "Change won't come overnight. We have to join our hands and take a pledge that we will work towards making Jammu as one of the most happening cities in the country." "We cannot count on the people who represented us till recent past as they only made big promises but failed to deliver on the ground. It is unfortunate that many areas in Jammu city are without basic amenities and people have to run from pillar to post to get even their small issues addressed," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "The upcoming assembly elections are a golden opportunity for the people to dump deadwood from the system and give new people a chance." Munish said, "People of Jammu have now become politically more mature and know it very well that it is only performance that matters. Non-performing politicians are going to perish for their own follies. They have no other option but to get retired from active politics and leave space for sincere leaders." |
