Mega veterans meet organised at Mendhar

Mendhar, Dec 21: The Mega Veterans meet was organised on 21 Dec 2019 at Mendhar, with attendance of approx 250 Veterans, Veer Naries and Widows alongwith their family from several villages of Mendhar to create awareness amongst Veterans about the latest welfare Schemes initiated by the Centre and State and attend to their grievances. The Chief guest of the event was Brig SS Kartikeya, SM, Cdr 6 Sect RR alongwith other Army officials and civil dignitaries including Dr Sahil Jandiyal, KAS, SDM, Mendhar, Dr Parvaz Ahmed Khan, BMO and Neeraj Padyar, SDPO were also present during the event. Vehicles were also placed at various locations to assist Veterans and veer Naris to reach the venue.
Brig SS Kartikeya, SM reiterated the Army commitment and concern for the well-being of Veterans, Veer Naries and Widows and highlighted various schemes to ensure their welfare and felicitated Veer Naris and widows present in the event. Issues related to Pension, Civil administration, Banks, Education of their Children, Housing, Insurance and personnel record were addressed by the dedicated team detailed from Army. The meet was culminated with tea, which was org for attendees. The local Veterans applauded the impressive work and conveyed their gratitude for the selfless service being rendered by the Army.
