JAMMU, Dec 21: Police Station Bishnah today arrested one bootlegger and seized 40 litres illicit liquor recovered besides destroying 200 litres (lahan) raw material used to produced liquor.
According to Police Spokesperson, a Police party while on duty in Dhinday Khurd, apprehended a lady along with distillation equipment and during checking 40 litres of illicit liquor were recovered from her possession. Further, 200 litres of lahan were also recovered, which were destroyed on the spot. In this regard, FIR No 224/19 U/S 48 (a), (e), (f) of the Excise Act has been registered at P/S Bishnah and investigation initiated. |
