Jammu, Dec 21: 1st J&K UT Karate Championship 2019 Sub Junior, Cadet, Junior & Senior began here at Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu with great enthusiasm. The Championship is being organized by Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu & Kashmir (AKAJK). More than 600 participants from different districts viz Jammu, Rajouri, Kathua, Reasi, Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Bandipora, Kupwara, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Doda, Shopian, Samba are participating in the tournament. Shihan Ambedkar Gupta (General Secretary Karate Association of India) was the Chief Guest of the Inauguration/ Opening Ceremony of the championship,he appreciated the work being done by the association in the field of karate and the outstanding performance of the players in the current year.
He also expressed his immense pleasure to see that the players have come to participate in the tournament from all parts of the union territory beside the difficult weather conditions hundreds of players from Kashmir province came to Jammu for participation.
Shihan Amit Sangra conducted the briefing and rule regulation seminar for coaches and refrees along with Sensei Umesh rekhi chairman referee commission (AKAJK), Sanjay kumar tuttoo president Referee commission (AKAJK) was also present on the occasion. |
