Jammu, Dec 27: In continuation to the drive against drug menace, ordered for closure of a medical pharmacy in Chatta, Sunjwan were executed today.
During the investigation of FIR No. 164/2019 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act registered at P/S Channi Himmat, it was found that Umar Farooq resident of Danda, Bhaderwah, who was operating a medical shop under the name M/s Malik Medicate at Chatta, Sunjwan, was indulging in illegal sale of psychotropic drugs.
The matter was brought to the notice of the Drugs Inspector, Drug and Food Control Organization, Muthi, Jammu by SHO Channi Himmat. Based on the recommendations of SHO PS Channi Himmat, the Drugs Inspector, Drug and Food Control Organization, Jammu issued orders for disallowing operations of the said medical shop untill further orders for contravention of S 22(d) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 for contravention of the act and rules made thereunder.
